My nine year old son is starting to get his independence. He wants to start carrying his own money in his pocket, and I want to give him this opportunity to start learning responsibility. But I need to find an alternative to cash. After some searching, I think I may have found what I am looking for, and its called AchieveCard.
This happens to be a much safer way for my kid to carry cash. The card is a reloadable, prepaid debit card that can be used anywhere that accepts MasterCard. In short, this is simply a Prepaid Mastercard. The best part about it is that I will still be able to control his spending because the card will not allow him to spend more than what is deposited just like a Prepaid Debit Card.
I think the most feature of this card is the fact that it will teach my son financial responsibility at a young age (at least that is what I am hoping for). I know so many people that have been adversely affected by the horrible financial decisions they had made when they were young adults, that I figure the early head start my son will get in financial responsibility lessons should make him understand the importance of spending wisely. I think Prepaid Credit Cards are great, but I also dont want that to be the only financial tool he can get because of past mistakes. This all important lesson is something that he should start practicing at an early age.

I am in the process of building out my man cave, you know, a “Guys” room…..I will have my giant flat screen, video games, stereo and pool table in this room. It is almost done, but what I did realize was that the lighting is what will give it that perfect final touch.
I have done a lot of searching, and I think I will be going with the hinkley light fixtures because they look cool and modern. This was a hard decision, because I was initially set on making the room look like a cigar lounge from the 20’s and started off by looking at fine art lamps and found some really great items. But after thinking about it and talking about it with the guys, we all felt that the old style would be a bit outdated and we wanted to go with a more modern look…I know, they are extremes, but thats just the way I am…..the coices were so different that once we decided what we wanted to go with, picking the final light fixtures was pretty easy.
I should have the rooom finished in about 4 days, and I can’t wait for the grand opening, which will be just in time for the NBA playoffs.

With the way the economy is going, I think the one thing that we can not cut back on is term insurance.
We now see how tough times are, and I just can not imagine what would happen to my family if I were no longer around. That’s why I have invested heavily in term life insurance which can be used by my family if something were to happen to me. My biggest fear is that they will struggle when I’m no longer around, and this will definitely alleviate a lot of my concerns. The process is really simple and easy. All I had to do was fill out life insurance quotes and select the policy that best met my needs. The whole process was quick and very well worth the time.
I obviousely want to be around for a long time, but life is funny and full of surprises. How often do we all hear of someone passing way before their time and leaving their family with a lot of financial problems? This is the one thing that I can do which will give me the piece of mind and comfort in knowing that my family will be taken care of, financially at least, when I am no longer around. Like I said, I hope it will never come to this, but at least I am prepared.

My cousin just visited me from the UK and was telling me about an online Fashion Search Engine that she used to purchase a whole bunch of gifts for her current visit. I mean she came with gifts a packin’…. she had cardigans and playsuites that she passed out as gifts which were very very much appreciated.
She spent about 2 weeks here and we had a great time. We did the tourist things like Disneyland, Universal Studios and the like, but we also did a lot of the local bar hopping club scene. I think she too had a great time because all she kept saying was that she needed another holiday to rest from this holiday….by the way, English folk call vacations “holidays”.
I think it is now my turn to visit the UK and see how life is across the pond. I am actually looking forward to setting up a trip next summer. I think it will be an amazing time, and the best part of it is that I already know the language of this foreign country!!!

Mothers day came and went, and I forgot to buy something for my mom. I know I wanted to get her clothing, but I am not good at that so I needed a lot of help. The first thing I did was look for a Fashion Search Engine that could at least point me in the right direction.
I wanted to look at some cheap dresses, and by that I am referring to the price and NOT the quality, that were in-stock and can be shipped quickly. I think I found what I was looking for and have ordered a couple of cardigans, which I am hoping will arrive soon. And the cool thing about this is that since it will be coming from the UK, I can always blame the lateness of the gift on the fact that it had to be shipped from another country….I think that will work…

I remember when I was moving from New Jersey to Los Angeles, I had so many thing that needed to be taken care of. Many people don’t realize how much work it is to get your belongings moved clear across the country.
The first thing I needed to do was contact moving companies so I can get a moving quote. This process doesn’t seem like a big deal, and it isn’t…but it is time consuming and frustrating at times because movers is such a huge category that it encompasses a lot things, most of which were not what I was looking for.
One of the results that came up consistently was budget van lines. This was the company I selected because they did everything. I had a lot of delicate belongings and antiques that needed to be moved and budget van lines were the only ones that actually understood the importance of my belongings and did everything in their ability to protect and ensure the safe delivery of my belongings.
To my pleasant surprise, when my belongings arrived in LA (when they were promissed) there was no damage to anything and nothing was lost. It was amazing to see that all of my items came clear across the country in the exact condition they left when they were in the east coast.

I am so sick and tired of all the fine print added fees that I am getting with my cable TV provider. I am looking to switch to Direct TV.
From what I have heard about www.DirectSatTV.com, it beats cable by leaps and bounds. You get more channels, better quality better service and best of all, they don’t call you every other day trying to sell you phone or internet service.
One of the best features available is the ability to get programming from across the entire country. I live in California, so when I get Direct TV in California, I can actually watch the programs as they air on the east coast. No tape delay stuff.
Sports programs and live games are the things that will be the best to watch on Direct TV. I can now watch any of the non regional teams I follow and not be restricted to see only the highlights of the game. I mean, why would I sit and watch a game between to teams I care absolutely nothing about when I can watch all of the action from a team I really like?
Additionally, all of the on demand programming will be be great. I will have so much stuff to choose from. Specially the classics from the time when I was growing up. Cable is so, “5 years ago”. Time to move on to the new and improved way of watching TV!!!
